Finally the companies involved in the Frank Sinatra biopic, have agreed on the terms to film the life of The Voice and they hired one of the most important American filmmakers in Hollywood: Martin Scorsese
Frank Sinatra Enterprises; Universal Pictures and Mandalay Pictures secured the rights to the film rights for a biopic and the project has officially started, although there are still several months to go before filming begins.
Phil Alden Robinson will write the script for the film, which for the moment is simply titled Sinatra. Robinson has already been recognized twice by the Academy, when he received the nomination for his previous work as a screenwriter, in Sneakers and Field of Dreams.
The own The great Frank's family will also be closely involved in the film. One of Frank's daughters, Tina Sinatra, will serve as executive producer. "I totally trust Scorsese to present the truth about my father, so that the whole family can enjoy." Tina said.
Despite the multiple projects of Scorsese, Universal expects the filmmaker to start as soon as possible the filming, scheduled in principle for the end of this year or the beginning of the next.
