Writer, TV host, political commentator and comedian Bill Maher makes a cross between 'Fahrenheit 9/11' and 'The God Delusion', by Richard Dawkins, in his documentary 'Religulous', which is a word that mixes "religious" and "ridiculous", that is, "religious" and "ridiculous".
Religious opens this week in our country with, surely, a reduced number of copies.
Documentary that humorously pretends to be a satire of religions and the problems they always cause.
Bill Maher explores different points of view on the matter through his travels to different religious destinations around the world, such as Jerusalem or the Vatican, interviewing believers of all types and conditions, such as Jews for Jesus, Muslims, polygamists, Satanists, Hassidic and even Raël of the Raelian Movement. In the documentary, Maher also interviews neuroscientist Dr. Andrew Newberg, author of "Why We Believe What We Believe," who performs brain scans on people as they pray, meditate, or they speak other languages.
And what do you think about religions?
