MacGyver prepares his feature film

The witty hero of the 80s played by Richard Dean Anderson, Mac Gyver, returns in what is billed as a film saga large-scale.

For those who do not know her, Mac Gyver was an American series of notable worldwide success, aired from 1985 to 1992, with a total of 139 chapters in which the character of Anderson he had to scrabble with whatever was at hand to escape life and death situations.

The film adaptation follows in the footsteps of so many other old series that were and will be brought to the big screen, as was the case with Starsky and Hutch, Mission Impossible, Miami Division and the most recent, El Superagente 86.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, weeks ago the production company New Line Cinema has accepted the challenge of the project, stating that they will do their best to capture the essence of the series.

"We are just a piece of gum, a clip and a first-rate screenwriter from creating a planetary franchise", surprised Richard Brener, Managing Director of New Line, who acknowledged that they are still looking for a scriptwriter for MacGyver.

Let's remember that the series already had two films made for television: MacGyver: Lost treasure of Atlantis and MacGyver: Trail to doomsday, both from '94. ', and a forgettable step with Young macgyver.
