The Locarno Festival, one of the most important European competitions, has decided pay tribute to Edward Norton in its next edition.
The American actor will be awarded the Moët & Chandon Award of Excellence of the 68th edition of the Swiss festival.
Edward Norton returned to the fore last year with the film by Alejandro González Iñarritu 'Birdman', which earned him several awards as well as the Oscar nomination for best supporting actor, after years practically disappeared.
And is that the actor was one of the most prominent of the late 90s with titles like 'The two faces of the truth' ('Primal Fear') y 'American History X', two titles that also earned him a Hollywood Academy Award nomination, or 'The Fight Club' ('Fight Club'), but his strong personality, according to many, has been the interpreter's problem to get good roles until last year the Mexican Alejandro González Iñarritu gave him one to suit him.
Many point out that Edward Norton's role in 'Birdman' is what the actor really is. Point in favor of Edward Norton who has known how to laugh at himself and thus get to be fashionable again, as shown in this award at the Locarno Festival. And it is that being a difficult person to deal with has nothing to do with interpretive quality.
